"It's the writer's privilege to help man endure by lifting his heart." - Faulkner

Thank you for visiting my website. Emerson wrote: "No tears in the writer, no tears in the reader.” I can add, “No laughter in the writer, no laughter in the reader..." I promise a healthy dose of both. Please enjoy, write to me, join our Readers Club, and share your feelings about the discoveries you make with friends and family.

A Little About Writing and Writer POV:
I’d like to share with you a bit about each of my published works and also details on the writing process and state of mind of a writer.

A writer works his magic within the framework of a personally compelling idea in any number of genres or categories. In a general fiction sense, I weave as many elements of actual history with the character traits of the romantic hero-character; our ideal man and woman driving the storyline along.

The elements and search for personal meaning in and through crisis, willing sacrifice of self, development of deep love, values, and other traits our hero embodies requires development through narrative, action, and plausible plots. To touch the heart and soul of the reader of inspirational and romance fiction, it is necessary to relate to common everyday tests of faith and struggles common to us all. Showing endurance, and hopes of some redemption with victory required to save the day, seem to be the ingredients which I find most compelling in a well-rounded main character.

I admit to being old-fashioned romantic, and so you may expect the writer to show admiration for the traits he or she most seeks to emulate. This personalizes any story to some degree. “I see dead people,” a line from the movie The Sixth Sense is not far off the mark for a writer. As pen goes to paper a good writer sees the action and the characters come to life, as they speak their minds, make their cases.

Shrinks call this psychosis. Writers call it inspiration.

When historical evidences are included they most often are considered true events. The plot and the characters seem more plausible to the reader with depth historical settings and crisis offers. What many readers may not realize is that certain elements of truth may also be woven in to the stories based upon the writer’s personal history or that he has learned from others (and used with permission).

I have used personal history to some degree in all novels produced. Some history may be family, friend related, or actual. Certainly all emotion is evoked from a deep well of sentiment that cannot be denied. Emerson said: “No tears in the writer, no tears in the reader.”  As a writer, I use people, places, or events they are familiar with to some degree in their story-telling. This often allows the added necessary emotion and sense of reality I wish to portray.  Some of the names, places, events have for their basis in fiction something that I or my family may have participated in, even if only in a small detail or way, may be included. So here go the confessions.  As you click on any of the book icons it will lead to more details about the background of each story and its creation.
